Inca Jungle trail detailed itinerary – Total Adventure

First Day – Cusco – Santa Maria (bicycle)

To start Inca Jungle Total Adventure Trail, we will pick you up from your hotel at 6 am, then travel by bus for three hours.
During the trip, we will observe the natural and cultural attractions of the Sacred Valley of the Incas until we reach Abra Malaga (4,316 m.a.s.l / 14,157 feet) point. more elevated. From here we will begin to descend in bicycles by 3 hours towards the eyebrow of the Amazonian forest, passing small villages, fruit fields, rivers and agricultural sectors.
We will arrive at a small archeological site of Huamanmarca, a beautiful place to take pictures, then we will continue to the town of Santa Maria and here. we’ll spend our first night.
When we arrive at this place we will first have lunch and in the afternoon we will do the canoeing (Optional) for 1 hour and 20 minutes in the Urubamba River and more night. we’ll have dinner.

Second Day – Santa María – Santa Teresa (walk)

From 6:00 am we will have our light breakfast, then we will start walking upstream following an original Inca trail totally closed with vegetation, here we will be able to see plantations of fruits, coca, coffee, achote, etc. and a small stretch of the way will take us up to the highest point of the route, from where we will be able to appreciate all the valley and the slope of the canyon.
After a long adventure, we will arrive at the town of Quellomayo where we will have our delicious lunch. Passing the lunch we will continue the walk by 4 hours more until arriving to the refreshing thermal waters of Cocalmayo that this to 10 minutes in car of the town of Santa Teresa, town where we will have supper and we’ll spend the second night of our total adventure

Third Day: Santa Teresa – Machu Picchu Town (Walk)

After our breakfast, we have two options to get to the Hydroelectric Power Station.
First. We can make the activity of the Tyrolese (Optional), at the end of the activity we will have a bus that will take us to the Hydroelectric Power Station.
The second option is to walk for approximately two and a half hours until the Hydroelectric Power Station, appreciating the landscapes surrounded by mountains covered with water. vegetation.
Arriving at the hydroelectric plant, we will have a comfortable lunch to continue our walk to the town of Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes), we will go along the banks of the Urubamba River following the railroad. In Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes) we will be accommodated in our rooms and later we will have the last dinner.

Fourth day: Machu Picchu – Cusco (walk and visit of the Inca city)

Today is the last day of Inca Jungle Trail total adventure and is also the most important day in our journey, because we will reach our mixed cultural heritage. and natural of humanity “Machu Picchu”. For which, we will get up very early and 04:30 a.m. We will begin the walk of an hour and a half until we reach to the City of Machu Picchu.
In case you do not walk you can take the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu which will take 25 minutes.
We will try to be the first group to enter this wonder of the modern world, thus having the opportunity to see the sunrise. We will begin the visit by the viewpoint from where the classic photographs are taken and we will be the first to take them when Machu Picchu is empty. Then we will go down to the urban area to visit all the very important enclosures, after 2 hours we will have free time to continue exploring our area. account or climb to the mountains and later in the opportune hour we will go down to the town of Aguas Calientes (optional lunch) to go to the train station of return to Ollantaytambo.
At the gate of Ollantaytambo station we will be waiting for our mobility to take us back to the city of Cusco – Plaza San Francisco.
