Tour Puno 2D / 1N

The islands of the Uros call themselves kotsuña, “the man of the lake”, and their origins date back to before the Incas. It is located north of the Bay of Puno, 6 kilometers from Puerto Lacustre, at an altitude of 3,812 meters above sea level (the highest lake in the world). The islands of the Uros (3,810 meters above sea level) are located in the Bay of Puno. The cold and dry climate characteristic of the region is attenuated in the area thanks to the action of the water masses that constantly evaporate. The average temperature at night is 10º C thanks to the regulating action of the lake water that receives the sun rays during the day, and at nightfall the accumulated heat distributes them.aAfter the pick up from your hotel or land terminal in Puno average 7:30 am we will be taking a comfortable boat from the port of Puno (30 minutes) after visiting 2 floating islands we will continue with the trip to the island of Amantani (2 ½ hours) we will arrive at the average of half day, where we will be cordially received by the local families.
Accompanied by the families we will take a walk (30 min uphill) to the local houses on Amantani Island, where we will have a typical Andean lunch. After settling in and resting we will hike to the top of the island to visit the Inca ceremonial temples Pachamama and Pachatata.
After appreciating the beautiful views of the lake and its splendor, we will wait until sunset to contemplate one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world. Finally we will return to have dinner at the local houses, during the night the families will organize a welcome party (optional) where we will be able to dance and dress the local costumes all this accompanied by local musicians.
